In the bedroom my sister and I used to share was a large window covered with yellow, pinstripe curtains. Each night after my father would tuck us in to bed, we would ask him to close our curtains (it was also our way of avoiding having to go to sleep). This beautiful memory stays with me, however, seeing his tall shadow in the dimmed room, reaching up to close those yellow, pinstripe curtains.
