Tidal is was inspired by a walk I took on the beach during the pandemic. One early afternoon, as I was walking along the beach, I remember closing my eyes as warm water bubbled and washed over my bare feet. The immersive feeling of the water covering my feet and ankles, and the feeling of my body moving due to the shifting sand was a gentle reminder of the blessing of peace, as well as protection.
Original painting expressed in a palette I remember of blues, grays and white with the brightness and warmth of the sun, graphite and acrylic on heavy weight watercolor paper with deckled edges, 17"x 18", not framed.
